Dalton McGuinty scores high in leadership review
The votes are in & Ontario's Liberals like Dalton McGuinty as boss. They really like him.
In a leadership review on Saturday, the McGuinty got an endorsement of 85.8%.
That' higher than the backing of opposition leaders this year. Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak picked up 78.7% support. It was 76.4% for NDP boss Andrea Horwath.
The vote of confidence in McGuinty comes despite the party losing its majority & then failing to recapture it with 2 September byelections.
The party has also alienated much of its base as it moves to freeze public sector wages & forcing contracts on teachers.
Dalton McGuinty has led the Ontario Liberal Party since 1996.
