There's not much anticipation going into tonight's announcement from Justin Trudeau. It's highly expected that he will be making his intentions public about running for leadership of the Liberal party.

The 40 year old MP will do it in his home riding of Papineau, but has stops planned in Calgary, Richmond, B.C. and Mississauga this week.

Insiders say his speech is aimed at disproving critics who say the son of Pierre Trudeau is little more than a celebrity M-P with a famous name.

The contest for the Liberal leadership doesn't officially get underway until the middle of November.
