It appears the worst - has been confirmed for the family and friends of Mitch Somerville after a body found in Frenchman's Bay on the weekend is now confirmed to be that of the Pickering Teen.

An autopsy had been conducted on the 17-year-old's remains to confirm Durham Regional police suspicions.  The results came back Tuesday

We first told you about the grisly discovery on Sunday, Somerville was reported  missing 10 days prior.

Police don't suspect foul play in the case.
