Ever find yourself wondering how on earth, you're paying that much to park in Toronto everyday? The latest parking rates should make us feel better though.

A new survey shows Canadian drivers are paying an arm and a leg for monthly parking, but you'll be paying the most in Calgary. The median parking rate there is $456.75 a month. The only other location in North American where you'll pay more than that, is New York City. It'll cost you about $562.00 a month there.

In Toronto, monthly parking charges were down 5 percent from last year, but we're still paying just over $316 a month.

Montreal saw the biggest growth in its rates, up 11.7 percent to $330.96 a month, and in Vancouver, it's roughly $277.82

Overall, Canadians are pumping more change into parking meters this year, as opposed to 2011.
