Edge Of Space Skydive Attempt Called Off
Felix Baumgartner will not get the chance to skydive from the edge of space, at least not right now.
The daredevil, known as Fearless Felix saw his attempt on Tuesday aborted because of high winds.
The Austrian was expected to free fall from 36 kilometers above earth, hitting speeds faster than the speed of sound.
The attempt was held on the tarmac for 5 hours after the 9am scheduled start because of gusting winds.
At issue, is a very thin balloon that is going to carry him to space. The wind risks tearing the material.
