If you use Mount Pleasant Road as a fast track north and southbound (due to the lack of traffic intersections) you might have to find another way Wednesday morning.

A leak at a pumping station compromised the structural integrity of the road, more specifically a construction shaft that could collapse. Also, the road could have given way for a sinkhole.

The hope is that the stretch from just south of St. Clair Avenue, to north of Bloor will re-open by 6 am, but there are no guarantees.
