An update to a story that we first told you about back in March.

That's when the bodies of two people were found in a car in Sunderland, northwest of Lake Scugog.

Durham Regional Police say the bodies have been identified as a 37 year old woman and her 8 month son, both from Petawawa.

Police have said "The investigation has identified no evidence the deceased were abducted, forced into the trunk of the vehicle and/or were murdered by other individuals."

Investigators say it appears the woman willingly locked herself in the trunk with the child.

Names have not been released.
