Ministers Stand By Premier's Cabinet Decision
At least two cabinet ministers agree with the premier's decision to ask whoever decides to run for Liberal leadership to step down from their portfolios.
Dalton McGuinty made that decision known at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
After hesitating at the question, Both Health Minister Deb Matthews and Municipal Affairs Minister Kathleen Wynne said the Premier's decision made sense.
Matthews says she was initially surprised but reveals she hadn't thought about it before then,
Wynne says if any minister does decide to step down, there are not only capable Liberal caucus members that can take over but ministry staff will be able to adjust as well.
