Minister Speaks Out Against Queen's Park Shut Down

Posted By: Katie Franzios · 10/17/2012 3:37:00 PM

One Liberal minister is speaking out against the Premier's decision to prorogue parliament.

Municipal Affairs Minister Kathleen Wynne says there's a discomfort having Queen's Park shut down, underlining no one wanted to do that.

Which is why she says they want the Liberal leadership race to go quickly.

NDP MPP Peter Tabuns says he hopes more Liberal Ministers speak out against Dalton McGuinty's decision to prorogue.

News Update; Premier Dad disappointed that some MPPs reject his extra-early-long-Christmas-holiday present. Threatens to resign again.

    Congratulations to Kathleen Wynne.

McGuinty has demonstrated a complete disregard for the citizens of ontario by proroguing parliament. He created a disaster in this province and doesn't have the balls to stand up to his disaster, so he runs for the hills.

This demonstrates again that he has been one of the worst premiers this province has ever seen. He spent about $ 1 Billion to save 2 seats for his party, then suspends parliament when he gets caught. He's talking about waiting until a leadership convention to settle the next leader. That'd be about 6 months away.

Every ontario citizen should write their MPP with a copy to that spineless premier demanding the legislature start up. As a spineless premier he can step down and have a deputy premier take over until a leadership convention determines the next leader.

Anything less proves he and his party take no responsibility for the mandate they were given by the voters.

He should be forced to live in Caledonia without any OPP protection for the remainder of his pathetic life.

Whomever is really disgusted at the Premier's actions proroguing the legislature should email their MPP and copy the Premier with their complaints. McGuinty may not care as he's stepping down however if all his MPPs receive hundreds of thousands of emails expressing disgust at these actions you can be sure they'll want to protect their seats by listening. If they don't then they can be turfed out next election.

I hope all the media also champion this with Ontario citizens. McGuinty is laughing at us all and treating us like imbeciles if he expects us to believe his lies. This is all about the relocation of the power plants and the almost $ 1 BILLION of our tax dollars he wasted in order to WIN 2 SEATS.
