LCBO to Auction Off Rare Wines and Liquor for Charity
A scotch-lovers dream come true.
You could own a 55 year old bottle of one of the rarest scotches in the world and only at a cost of $50 to $70-thousand.
The LCBO is auctioning off one of eleven bottles of a single-malt Glenfidditch this weekend. The hope is that the sale will set a Canadian record.
For those who love vintage wine, over 1,100 rare types valued at $2.3-million will also be offered to the highest bidder. Those include rare finds from Burgundy, France and some American wines that have never been auctioned by the LCBO before.
The money will go to a good cause as well. Procceds will benefit Wounded Warriors, which assists the wounded soldiers and their families.
Friday night's auction is at the Trump International, while Saturday's is at Waddington's Auction house.
