Toronto police investigators are expected outside a vacant commercial unit in Scarborough all day today to continue to probe the murder of an unidentified man.

He was found dead in the unit on Ellesmere Rd near Bellamy Rd around 3 p.m. Wednesday while a woman also at the scene was unhurt.

Two black men sped off in a white SUV, which was later found in a mall parking lot.

Police won't confirm if the man and woman were tied up.

Investigators will work several leads now hoping to determine why this man was killed. Police have spoken with the woman found at the scene but won't provide any details about what she may have told them.

They have been and will continue to interview those that worked in the area, and focusing on identifying the two men spotted leaving the scene.

A post-mortem will be conducted today on the body of the man to determine a cause of death. Police also say identifying the victim will be important and will run a background check on him when that's determined.

The killing is the city's 42nd murder of the year.
