200+ kinds of soup to try at Soupstock
The soup will be flowing at Woodbine Park Sunday.
It's the site of Soupstock, a food festival attracting over 200 chefs from across North America, each cooking up their own soup.
You'll get to taste everything from your classic chicken noodle to a spicy tom yum soup.
$10 will get you 3 bowls of soup. But organizers want you to bring your own bowl & spoon to keep the event as green as possible.
As many as 50 000 people are expected to show up to the park at the Lake Shore & Coxwell Ave. Soupstock starts at 11am
Soupstock is also a fundraiser for the movement against the proposed mega-quarry in Melancthon Township, 100km north of Toronto. Opponents say it would devastate farm land & drinking water.
You'll have some music to listen to as you slurp your soup. Jim Cuddy, Snowblink & Jesse Cook are among the acts performing.
