Want to click around on the Globe & Mail's web site to your heart's content?  You'll have to pay...

The newpaper's online version is going behind a metered pay wall starting Monday.

The move comes in response to slipping ad revenues, as people access news content in new ways &on more platforms.

Readers will be able to access up to 10 free articles a month on the Globe and Mail's web site.  Unlimited access will set you back $19.99.

Phillip Crawley, CEO & Publisher of the Globe says you won't have to pay if you click on an article your friend shared on facebook or twitter.  Things like weather, horoscopes &stock quotes will stay free online.

Crawley says the 150 000 people who get the print edition of the paper daily will have free reign of the website built into their subscriptions.  If you only get the weekend Globe, unlimited access will cost you $4.99.
