A 20 year old man is facing a slew of charges in a fatal collision that happened early Sunday morning on McNicoll Avenue and Birchmount Road.

Cops say around 3:25 on Sunday morning a Porsche jumped the curb, and hit a tree.

A 20 year old passenger was ejected from the vehicle, and died at the scene.

The driver, Hongyu Chen, suffered injuries, but is expected to live.

He's been charged with Criminal Negligence Causing Death, Impaired Driving Causing Death, Dangerous Driving Causing Death and Class G2 licence holder - drive while blood alcohol concentration above zero.

At the time of the crash, police say they found an intact bill of sale of the vehicle and claim it was a new lease. They say it was worth around 120 thousand dollars.

Chen will make a court appearance on Monday.
