Duncan to Announce He Won't Run For Liberal Leadership
An announcement is expected Wednesday from Ontario's Finance Minister, and It won't have anything to do with finances.
Reports are, that Dwight Duncan will tell media he will not run for the leadership of the Ontario Liberal Party. Sources say Duncan wasn't looking forward to committing another 10 years to politics, he's been an MPP since 1995.
Earlier this week, Duncan was asked about this and he responded, "I think the biggest question any of us has to ask ourselves is you're looking at, probably, a five to ten year commitment of your life. That's the one that kind of front-and-centre for me."
There's speculation that former Windsor West MPP Sandra Pupatello may be endorsed by Duncan.
The Ontario Liberal Party will elect a new premier on the weekend of January 25.
