Toronto Police Arrest Man on a Dozen Robbery Charges
Toronto police have charged a man with 16 counts arising from a dozen robberies that occurred in the Toronto area since the start of the month.
Police say a man held up convenience stores and gas stations in Toronto, and in Peel and Halton regions.
They say the robber used a disguise and indicated he had a gun when approaching clerks and demanding money.
Investigators say that in one case the suspect was seen with an actual gun.
Michael Barbour, 20, is charged with 11 counts of robbery, four counts of disguise with intent and one of robbery while armed with a firearm.
