Police Find Victims Family in Cabbagetown Stabbing
An update to the story of a woman stabbed to death in Cabbagetown.
Toronto Police have said they have been in contact with the mother and the brother of 55 year old Nighisti Semret.
She was the one stabbed to death while walking home from her job as an overnight cleaner at the Delta Chelsea.
Semret was attacked, seemingly at random, on Ontario Street near Wellesley around 7 o'clock on Tuesday morning.
While we did know that Semret was a refugee from a small African country bordering Ethiopia, Police have indicated he family has been found in Uganda.
Police still don't have a suspect in custody in the case, only giving a description of a white man, between 5 foot 10 and 6 foot 2, weighing between 150 and 200 pounds and wearing a long dark coat at the time of the attack.
