Police say alcohol was a factor in a crash on the Gardiner this morning.

Two cars were involved in the accident near Park Lawn Rd. One of the vehicles hit the guardrail and was catapulted into the right side of the highway.

One passenger was ejected and rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

One of the two drivers has lost his license for 72 hours for drinking and driving.
