Toronto police say a woman has been killed by a falling sign as high winds from approaching post-tropical storm Sandy whip the city.
This happened near Keele and St Clair at about 7:10 p.m.
A police spokesman says winds were about 65 kilometres per hour in the area at the time.
The sign is next to a parking lot of a Staples store in the area.
Police have not released the woman's age or name.
