The State of New Jersey has reported nearly two and a half million homes without power in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

Some rail lines have been damaged and highways have been closed because of debris. In some cases homes have been moved from the moorings onto the roads, blocking traffic.

Newstalk1010's Russ Courtney has been hunkered down in Atlantic City where the eye of the storm came ashore on Monday. When the sun rose on Tuesday, he was able to capture some of the devastation.
