Ontario Offers Help to U.S. After Sandy
The province has offered its help south of the border in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
Premier Dalton McGuinty says Ontario has told both New York and New Jersey that it is ready as soon as they need them. McGuinty points to the province's expertise in rural communities and wooded areas.
He says U.S. crews helped the province out during the ice storm in 1998, so didn't hesitate to offer assistance.
McGuinty thanked residents here in Ontario who pulled together during the storm here. He says he hopes to get the power back to them up at the end of the day.
