Toronto Police are trying to piece together the route Nighisti Semret took when she walked home from her job as an overnight cleaner at the Delta Chelsea.

Det Sgt Gary Giroux tells Newstalk1010 that they have gone over more surveilance video, and released a 120 photo slide show of still frames.

He says they still haven't  been able to determine the route she took, but they are getting closer.

6 officers are now working full time on the case with 2 solely dedicated to watching video, trying to dig up clues.

As for the call for homeowners in Cabbagetown to check their backyards in hopes of finding the murder weapon, that's turned up nothing.

Right now, the killer remains on the loose.
