A Mississauga homeowner was left shaken-up, after a group of men tried to break into her home.

It was after 9 o'clock Wednesday evening, when she answered a knock at the door. That's when the four men tried to force their way in and during the struggle, a gunshot was fired at the door.

Luckily, no one was seriously hurt, but the woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are searching for the suspect.

The home is located Turney Drive near Britannia road and Erin Mills Parkway.
