Arrest Made in Poppy Box Theft

A 31 year old Toronto man has been arrested in a slew of thefts involving poppy boxes.

The first alleged theft was reported on Tuesday, at a restaurant on Eglinton Avenue West.

The second happened the next day, at a store on Oakwood Avenue.

The third alleged incident was at a restaurant on Eglinton Avenue West on Thursday.

Toronto Police officers looked over security footage and charged 31 year old Christopher Ethier with three counts of theft under, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and three counts of failure to comply with probation.

He was reportedly found with 282 dollars in his pockets and a nap sack filled with poppies.

He'll be in court on Friday.
