Ford to Skip Court Proceedings Thursday, Expected to Testify Friday
As he did on day 2 of the libel lawsuit filed against him, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford will miss proceedings on the afternoon of day 3 at 330 University Ave. for an unspecified conflict.
Lawyers from both sides and the judge have agreed to work around Ford’s schedule with the Mayor likely to testify on Friday.
No official reason has been given for Ford’s absence, despite questions about it by Justice John MacDonald Wednesday and the mayor’s staff has not answered questions about his conflict.
The high school football team that Ford coaches, the Don Bosco Eagles, have a Metro Bowl quarterfinal playoff game scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m
