Toronto Police have charged a 50 year old man in a murder that happened on Tuesday at a building in Etobicoke.

Cops say when they showed up to the building on Kendleton Drive, they found a woman with obvious signs of trauma in the apartment.

59 year old Leah Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials later determined, following an autopsy, that she died as a result of blunt-impact chest trauma.

A man was taken into custody at the scene.

50 year old Ian Gray is charged with one count of second degree murder.

He'll be in court on Friday morning at 10.
