York Region high school teachers agree to tentative contract

A sigh of relief for some parents & students in York Region.
The union representing public high school teachers has signed a tentative deal with the board there.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) & York Region District School Board shook on it just before am Saturday.
Details will likely be sent to the Education Minister on Monday.
Earlier this week, the OSSTF told its 60 000 members to start a series of "strike actions" that include skipping staff meetings & not communicating with parents outside of school hours.
