*VIDEO* UPDATE Stampeders Fans Bring Horse Into The Royal York
Shortly after a Calgary Stampeders fans were denied the chance to parade a horse through the Royal York on Thursday, Newstalk1010 got an exclusive interview, and came out with a prediction on who is going to win the Grey Cup on Sunday.
Not surprisingly, the horse named Marty suggested Calgary was going to take the game, beating the hometown Toronto Argos.
It was back in 1948, after the Stampeders won their very first Grey Cup, fans walked the teams mascot through the Royal York in celebration.
They've done the same in hotels in every host city that the team has played a Grey Cup in.
This time, when supporters tried to recreate the moment, the horse was met with locked doors and was denied entry.
But the Stampeders fans didn't give up on Thursday. They marched Marty around downtown before being allowed into the First Canadian Place on King near Bay.
But then peer pressure got to the people at the Royal York, and they allowed the horse to walk into the hotel.
That's where he stood though, officials didn't allow him to be paraded around.
