HIV Positive Man, Sent To Jail For 6 Years
6 years in jail for a man who had unprotected sex with two Toronto women, and failed to tell them that he was HIV positive.
50 year old Ian Williams could be deported to Trinidad when he gets out of prison.
He was first convicted in 2006, and served a year in jail after two other women reported that he didn't inform them he was carrying the disease.
His wife died from AIDS in 2005 and his stepdaughter claimed that her Mom was infected by Williams, but he was never charged by police in connection with that case.
In his ruling the Justice says while Williams is remorseful, "he cannot put his sexual desires above the safety of people."
