Mayors of Toronto & Calgary swap CFL jerseys
The bet is officially on.
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford & Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi have swapped Argos & Stampeders jerseys.
The mayor of the losing team has to wear the winning team's jersey at their next city council meeting.
The losing mayor also has to donate his weight in food to the winning city's foodbank.
Nenshi encouraged fans to make food bank bets of their own.
On stage at Nathan Phillips Square Saturday morning, Ford told Stamps fans Toronto would "treat them good" until the Grey Cup kickoff. After that, he predicted they'd be crying in their beers because "Toronto's gonna give you guys a whooping like you've never had before".
Nenshi thanked Ford for the personalized Argos jersey, saying he'll need something to wipe the slush off his car with when he gets back to Calgary.
Besides the jerseys, Nenshi gave Ford a white cowboy hat. Ford gave Nenshi a mini Argos football.
