A man has turned himself in to the police after Friday’s hit-and-run that left a cyclist dead.

Police say the man showed up at 11 Division on Saturday night, and hit-and-run detectives were sent there to investigate.

22-year-old Miguel Oliveira has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, causing death. He is expected in court Sunday morning.

The victim was 35-year-old Tom Samson, a popular grade 2 teacher at Swansea Public School.
