We set a new temperature record for December 4th.

The old mark was 15.9 degrees at Pearson airport, set back in 1998 and that was eclipsed when the thermometer went as high as 16 degrees.

The Weather Network says at their office in Oakville, the temperature got as high as 16.9 degrees before retreating a little.

Things are expected to cool off overnight, with a low down to zero.

But for the most part temperatures are going to remain above normal through the weekend.
