Two more couples have come forward claiming to have been duped by a man who allegedly practiced witchcraft.
40 year old Gustavo Valencia Gomez was first arrested on November 27th and charged with a number of fraud offences along with pretending to practice witchcraft.
Following that arrest, a couple in Montreal is claiming to be victims after handing over 13 thousand dollars.
Then another couple in Hamilton came forward, claiming they too were victims between June 2012 and October of that year.
Police say the suspect allegedly used rituals, and convinced the couple they were cursed and that he could remove the curse for a sum of money. In turn they paid him 78 hundred dollars.
Gomez was arrested a second time in Mississauga on December 18th and is now facing more charges of fraud, pretending to practice witchcraft, possession of proceeds of crime and failing to comply with undertaking.
Police think there could be more victims in both Ontario and Quebec.
