AUDIO: EXCLUSIVE: Ford Speaks After Defamation Suit Tossed
One case down, some more to go.
That's the mayor's attitude towards his legal problems, after the $6-million defamation lawsuit against him has been thrown out.
Rob Ford spoke exclusively to Newstalk 1010. The mayor has no kind words for restaurateur George Foulidis, who brought the libel suit to court claiming Ford tarnished his reputation during the mayoral campaign in an interview with the Toronto Sun about Foulidis's lease being extended without considering any other establishments for the location. Ford had maintained he was calling all closed door deals corrupt and while he pointed to the Beaches issue, never named Foulidis.
Ford maintained the suit was politically motivated.
He's now dusting his hands of this case, focusing on January 7th, the date of his appeal in his conflict of interest case that could see him thrown out of office.
