Man Charged After Speeding on the Gardiner
A 22-year-old is facing charges after he was caught speeding on the Gardiner Expressway on Wednesday morning.
Police say at 1:41 a.m., an officer saw a 2008 Honda Civic traveling at a high rate of speed in the eastbound lanes, at Islington Avenue.
A speed-measuring device, used by the officer, clocked the driver going at a speed of 187 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
A 22-year-old Toronto man has been charged with:
1) Stunt Driving - Drive at rate of speed 50 km/h or more over speed limit
2) Speeding - 187 km/h in a 100 km/h zone
His licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
