Man busted for stunting on the QEW in Mississauga

A Toronto man has had his car impounded, after he was busted going 175 km/h on the QEW in Mississauga.

Toronto Police caught up with the driver in the eastbound lanes near Dixie Rd just after 2am Thursday.

The 20-year-old has been charged with stunting & his licence & his car have taken away for a week.

Wednesday morning, another man was clocked at 187 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the Gardiner, near Islington.

    Do you think a week will teach this twit? Will killing himself or others on the highway be a "lesson" for him or others who are so reckless?

    Charged with Street racing but Officer Thomasz Stefanski gets a slap on the hand for doing 155 in an 80 and 187kph in an 80kph zone.

      @MS MS, I agree with your comment - I read about Officer Thomasz Stefanski in the paper today and it's sad that our police service have a different standard that applies to them as both officers and as private citizens. So much for our laws when the police specifically chose NOT to charge him with stunting and instead, laid a lesser charge whereas as the average Ontarian would have their licence suspended and car taken away for a week (plus the associated high fines) for the same activity as this officer. Thanks you Dalton McGuinty and our police services!
