Toronto Police hunting for alleged dog killer

Toronto Police are trying to track down an alleged dog killer.

They're looking for 50-year-old Rita Mueller of Bolton.  She runs Scooby's Dog House & Rescue.

Mueller is accused of hanging a sharpei named Henry with a leash at Toronto Animal Services back in August.

Toronto Police constable Tony Vella says Mueller had the rights to the dog & was in the TAS office to hand it over to its new owners.

GTA animal lovers have been raising questions about the quality of Mueller's care on online message boards for years. Vella says police are looking into that too.

Mueller is known to spend time in Caledon & Barrie.  She owns other animals & police worry they might be in danger.

    If anyone has any info on this witch, please, please, please hand her over to the police. She deserves to be judged and punished by animal lovers. Animal murderers and abusers need to be dealt with harshly and to the full extent of the law. It makes me sick to my stomach to think that this witch was running a dog rescue. There is a special place in hell for people who hurt, kill or abuse any living creature be it human or otherwise and frankly I am fed up with it. If she is as mean and evil inside as she looks on the outside, God help the poor animals she "rescued".

    Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character; and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man. The beotch needs to be in jail.

      @Sheryl Well put and succinct Sheryl, as are all of the comments here. It is so nice to see there are so many animal lovers out there. It just breaks my heart when I hear stories like this. Animals deserve love and respect, all of them! Some times our fellow man are despicable and cruel. Hard to understand!

    I agree with all the above comments..humans are the most cruel of all God's creation, we need laws with teeth to really punish those who abuse or kill the most vulnerable ones who cannot speak for themselves.
