Students return to class but questions surround extracurriculars
The two-week reprieve from Toronto's typical morning rush hour traffic is over.
Commuters will notice the roads will be a lot busier on Monday morning.
Students are set to get back in class after the winter break.
Police are reminding drivers to be particularly cautious, especially around crosswalks, buses and school zones.
Inside the classroom, many teachers are sour over the new contract forced on them last week by Education Minister Laurel Broten and the Ontario Liberals.
The 2-year contract cut benefits and froze most teachers' wages.
It is not clear whether teachers will ignore Premier Dalton McGuinty's plea to get back to voluntary activities like running sports teams and clubs.
