A 2-alarm fire at an apartment building in the Jane and Sheppard area, has sent one person to hospital.

The call came in to crews around 1:30 Wednesday morning.

Police say the fire was at 2415 Jane Street and it was contained to one unit on the fourth floor of the building. The elderly woman who lived there, was taken to hospital and is being treated for smoke inhalation.

Officials don't know what caused the blaze yet.
