Woman found dead in Etobicoke
Homicide detectives are on the case after a woman was found dead, lying on the side of the road in Etobicoke.
Toronto Police made the discovery on Richgrove Dr, near Martin Grove & Eglinton at 7:30am Saturday.
There were signs of a struggle & the victim's body shows obvious signs of trauma but Toronto Police Inspector Tim Crone says the cause of her death won't be known for sure until a post-mortem exam is done.
Crone adds her identity hasn't been fully confirmed yet, but the victim is a woman in her mid-20s.
Someone Crone calls a person of interest in the case was taken into custody from a Mississauga gas station. Crone wouldn't say what relation they have to the victim. He couldn't confirm or refute reports either that the victim's boyfriend pointed police to her body.
Police are investigating along Richgrove Dr & at 2 other nearby locations.
Police expect Richgrove Dr will remain blocked for several hours still. 2 articles of clothing, one black, one purple are in the middle of the street.
