Leafs sign Lupul to 5-year contract extension
Joffrey Lupul will keep wearing the blue & white for a few years yet.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed the forward to a 5-year contract extension. Lupul is now committed to the Buds through the 2017-18 season. The deal comes a day after Lupul was named one of the Leafs' alternate captains.
Though the Leafs haven't disclosed financial terms of the deal, it is reprotedly worth over $26-million.
The 29-year-old played 66 games last season & ranked 2nd on the team in goals (25), assists (42), points (67) & power-play goals (8).
