UPDATE: VIDEO: Liberals Set-Up For The Weekend
The clock is ticking down to when the Liberals pick their next leader. Today, they set up at Maple Leaf Gardens to make sure there are no hiccups this weekend.
There's constant drilling and hammering as the Liberals build rafters and test out the sound system in the same spot where they picked their leader in 1996. While Maple Leaf Gardens have changed - with the arena size shrinking because now there's also an athletics centre and grocery store in the building - organizers don't seem too worried about overcrowding.
Convention co-chair MPP Steven Del Duca says no matter what the size of the venue, delegates are excited about what's to come, from the tribute to Dalton McGuinty to kick things off to selecting a new leader.
Each leadership candidate has their own area in the arena for supporters, the candidates themselves sitting on platforms with their families in the of that crowd.
