The Monday morning commute was a tricky one thanks to a wintery mix of snow, ice pellets & freezing rain.
It started with snow, falling in the Greater Toronto Area which made the roads slick. There was also a warm front pushing up from the American mid-west and ahead of that front was a band of freezing rain.
Environment Canada cancelled a freezing rain warning for the GTA around 12:30, Monday afternoon.
As a result of the weather, there were reports of delays at GTA airports. Pearson is showing dozens of cancellations and departures. Meanwhile, Air Canada, Porter Airlines and West Jet have issued travel advisories warning passengers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.

On the roads, CAA was reporting upwards of 500 collisions, ranging from spin-outs to minor fender benders. All were blamed on the conditions.
