Missing Senior Found Dead
A missing senior has been found dead a day and a half after she was last seen.
87-year-old Kathleen Pollack was last seen at her home in the Don Mills Road and Lawrence Ave area on Wednesday at approximately 4 p.m.
Police began their search for her early Friday morning after they were notified by family who were concerned for her safety.
Police found her outside the house she used to live in on Pine Ridge Drive in the Kingston and Bellamy Roads area several hours after they began their search. She was found curled up by the garden door of the vacant house, and police believe she may have fallen asleep, but don't know how long she was outside.
Pollack is said to be suffering from a number of health problems and was showing early signs of Alzheimer's disease.
She was located outside without any vital signs and was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say there's nothing suspicious about her death but believe the cold weather may have been a factor.
The coroner has been notified.
