There is a snow squall warning in effect for parts of the Greater Toronto Area and farther north.

It starts in Newmarket and extends into Uxbridge and Beaverton. It includes Innisfil, Barrie, Collingwood, Kitchener, Cambridge, up into Owen Sound, the Bruce and over into Stratford, Goderich and Kincardine.

There are several squalls blowing in from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay and they are expected to weaken as the day progresses. There could be localized accumulations in the area of 15 centimetres.

Radar shows one long streamer from Georgian Bay to Bowmanville.

Driving conditions will be dangerous at times mainly because of zero visibility. the primary hazards associated with snow squalls are very poor and fluctuating visibilities due to narrow bands of heavy snow and blowing snow, along with rapidly accumulating snow on roads, resulting in dangerous driving conditions.
