Agriculture Canada is setting up a panel of experts to look at ways to improve food safety.

This comes in the wake of the E. coli outbreak at an X-L Foods plant in Alberta last fall.

18 people fell ill & the outbreak triggered the largest beef recall in Canadian history.

The review will look at what contributed to the outbreak & why tainted meat was distributed to stores & eventually sold to shoppers.
