Freezing rain Sunday night, big warm up Monday
By Monday night, signs that just a few days ago, Toronto got one of the biggest dumps of snow in years could be just about gone.
Rain forecast for late Sunday night & into Monday morning could wash away the 30cm of snow that fell on Toronto Friday. The mercury is expected to 5 degrees Celsius on Monday. The normal temperature for this time of year is -1.
There is also a chance for freezing rain Sunday night, but it will be short-lived in Toronto.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for parts of the GTA including Northern Durham Region, Northern York Region & Barrie.
City crews will be watching for flooding overnight.
As of early Sunday night the Toronto & Region Conservation Authority had water levels for water courses listed as normal.
