The attempted robbery of a Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet on Tuesday night, saw an employee wrestle a suspect to the ground.

This was in the Eglinton and Brimley Road area and in broad daylight around 4:30.
Police say two youths came in and one pointed a gun at one of the two clerks. One of them, a man, grabbed the gun and got a hold of the 17 year old boy.
One round went off, but no one was hurt.

The boy then managed to get hold of the gun and threw it at the employee, before the two suspects fled. They were caught by police a few minutes later.

The store clerk was treated for his injuries in hospital and will be okay.
