The premier should take a lie detector test.

That's from Tory MPP Frank Klees, who underlines she doesn't believe Kathleen Wynne wasn't part of the decision-making process to cancel the Mississauga Gas Plant days before the 2011 provincial election.

Wynne has denied any involvement despite being Liberal campaign co-chair. She has also said she is willing to testify during committee hearings looking into both the Mississauga and Oakville gas plant cancellations that cost taxpayers $230 million. Wynne was cabinet minister at the time of both of those decisions.

Klees says it would establish her credibility.

When asked if he thinks deputy premier and health minister Deb Matthews should take a lie detector to answer questions about the Ornge air ambulance spending scandal, Klees laughed. However, he went on to say he thinks Matthews needs to reveal why she's not taking direct responsibility for what happened at Ornge.
