Canadians may be getting bored with all those Economic Action Plan ads the Harper government has been running since 2009.
The ads with the upward arrows & blue background have cost millions of tax dollars, & a new round of them kicks off Monday.
But a series of polls commissioned by the Finance Department suggests the ads are losing their lustre.
The surveys over 4 years show fewer Canadians than ever are taking any action as a result of the ads, & fewer people remember them.
A Finance Department official says the government has a responsibility to communicate with citizens about its programs & policies.
But New Democrat finance critic Peggy Nash says many of the programs have long expired, & she calls the ads a waste of money in a time of restraint.
